CBD in 5 strange places – SNEWS

Soaring in mainstream popularity as a solution to pain, sleep trouble, arousal issues, and more, CBD earned its very own section at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.

Though shrouded in speculation and controversy, Cannabidiol—more commonly known as CBD—has quickly become trendy and it’s emerging in the outdoor industry.

Last year, the U.S. saw the federal decriminalization of hemp with the Farm Bill, further opening markets to the cannabis world. CBD is a non-psychoactive part of the cannabis plant—meaning it has no hallucinogenic side-effects—but has been found to be therapeutic, making it a popular addition to many pain relief and sleep products. Due to a lack of studies behind Cannabidiol, though, there is only one FDA approved CBD drug on the market—Epidiolex, used to treat two rare and severe forms of epilepsy.

Despite having little to no scientific evidence of its efficacy, the CBD trend has boomed and the now-legal extract is showing up in the most unlikely of places, including its own section of 20 brands at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2019

Here’s a list of the 5 most unexpected CBD products for your browsing pleasure.
