Launched in April 2019, the luxury cannabis brand sells premium products and organically grown strains of weed in California and Oregon, two states where recreational marijuana-use is legal. For Todd, it’s all about selling quality products.

“Sometimes the products that we grow don’t even make it to the finished product,” he told Yahoo Finance’s On the Move. “A lot of times if we look at a product at the end of the day and we don’t like it, we’ll probably turn it into oil or we’ll take it and move it into another product line.”

To ensure that their strains are luxurious enough, Saucey Farms and Extracts takes advantage of a process called Cannabis Chromatography. It isolates and extracts the highest cannabinoid compounds such as CBD, CBN and CBG.

Making sure that the customers have the best quality isn’t an easy process. Todd noted how tiring but necessary “quality control” is.

“Just the other day, I smoked something that we grew, and I was like, ‘There’s no way we’re putting it into our product,’” he said.

Jones met Todd through a mutual friend. He cited Saucey Farms and Extracts’s focus on luxury was a big motivating factor for their partnership.

“He’s a dope guy,” said Jones. “Just to learn the benefits about the money. There’s a lot of medical benefits when it comes to the marijuana field. There’s a whole lot of things we can do as far as giving back to the community with some of the proceeds.”

So, what’s next for Saucey Farms and Extracts? Todd said the brand is currently working on a CBD line of products for athletics set to launch in a few months. Todd said the company is in talks with a number of athletes to collaborate with on those products.
