It’s about time, Houston

Major cities like Chicago and D.C. have been adding on-trend CBD oil to cocktails for months now, helping promote anti-anxiety at the bar. Now Montrose’s adorably kitschy bar, Present Company, claims to be the first Houston bar that’s offering a CBD-infused cocktail. The Under The Sea ($11) include pineapple rum, kiwi syrup, lime juice, blue Caracao, lemon CBD, eucalyptus tincture, and topo chico. Get an extra dose of CBD for $3 more.

More Mex for Tex

Mexican fast-casual restaurant Überrito just announced plans to open in Memorial this fall. Its sixth area location will sit at 14092 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas. Offerings include build-your-own burritos, bowls, salads and nachos made with more than 40 fresh ingredients and toppings. The brand just announced plans to expand to San Antonio.

Wine time for The Heights

It’s opening day for Savoir, a European-styled addition to the hot Heights neighborhood, reports Culture Map Houston. The wine-centric experiment comes from Brian Doke, a former director of operations for upscale cafe Tiny Boxwoods. Executive chef Micah Rideout (Reef, Main Kitchen) is making Texas tomato carpaccio with smoked burrata and ribeye cruda with sunchoke crumble and mushrooms from an open kitchen. The layout also features a U-shaped bar and banquettes, followed by a fancy 60-seat dining room and a next-door “garden” room with room for 30; a patio is coming soon. La Grande Rue, its adjoining wine bar and retail shop, also just put the lights on. [Culture Map]
