Design and features

Arizer ArGo is small and very convenient. It fits comfortably in your hand and slips easily into just about any pocket or backpack. If you wanted a truly portable vaporizer that you can carry anywhere you go, you will certainly be satisfied with what ArGo has to offer.

ArGo has all the recognizable trademarks of every other vaping device from Arizer. If you’ve ever used any of their products before, you will instantly know how to use this vaporizer as well.

From a visual standpoint, Arizer ArGo is not too attractive, but decent enough. Nonetheless, the design is functional and serves its purpose perfectly. That’s what matters most.

Heating

Arizer ArGo uses a hybrid heating system.

The glass stem addition ensures that there is no temperature fluctuation during the vaping session at all. It also ensures that the temperature of your herbs is consistent. What you get in the end is potent vapor with deep and profound effects.

Airflow

Arizer ArGo has the same airflow as its predecessors – it’s wide, open, and overall, pretty smooth. This ensures that your vaping sessions can last a long time without losing potency.

Moreover, it also enables easy and comfortable pulls that people who are perfectionists will surely appreciate.

Display

Arizer ArGo comes with a retro display that doesn’t look too attractive but is very functional. It shows all important information (like battery life and temperature level), and it gives you full temperature control as well.

You won’t need to use an external app to make the display work. You can do everything with a single button!

The display allows you to tweak a number of different things including screen brightness, sound effects (when the temperature reaches a certain level, for example), and it even offers its own shut-off timer. Quite neat.

Temperature control

Arizer argo

I’ve mentioned temperature control briefly, but in this section I will explain how it works in the context of this particular product.

Arizer ArGo allows you to manually control the temperature levels as you like.

The temperature range is 122°-428° F (50°C – 220°C) which is more than decent for a device such as this one.

You can choose your optimal heating with a single button (+ or – button, depending on where you want to go with your temperature) that is located on the display itself. The display will show the temperature in Celsius by default, but you can switch to Fahrenheit if you want to.

You’ll also be able to see the numbers going up in real-time as the device heats up.

Vapor quality

All Arizer vaping units provide deep, outstanding, and long-lasting flavor. Arizer ArGo is no exception.

You won’t notice any reduction in flavor quality even after you’ve been vaping for hours on end. You won’t need to worry about the temperature either, as even on the highest settings you’ll be able to enjoy that wonderful taste without burning your throat.

Now, some people prefer big clouds over small ones, and if that’s the case with you as well, I’ll have to inform you that (sadly) Arizer ArGo doesn’t fit that criterion.

On the other hand, if the aroma is your main concern, you’ll absolutely enjoy every bit of this vaporizer.

Ease of use

Just like its predecessors, Arizer ArGo is very easy to use.

Before you start vaping, place your herbs into one of the two glass stems and load them into the vaporizer. Next, turn on the device by holding the main button and the + button at the same time. After a couple of seconds, you’ll see a countdown timer. Keep holding both buttons for three more seconds and the device will finally be ready for vaping.

Now all you need to do is choose your optimal temperature with the + and –  buttons, wait for the unit to heat up, and you can start pulling!

For more convenient future sessions, you can use one of the two silicone stem caps that came with the vaporizer.

I have to note that the heat-up time is a bit subpar and it may not please every customer. If you’re patient, though, it’s not a big problem.

Additional accessories

If you’re not completely happy with the default accessories, the fact that Arizer ArGo has room for plenty of additional extras should make up for it.

The most convenient add-on that you can get is the water pipe. This addition will make your vaping experience even better and it’s certainly a worthwhile purchase.

You can get as many additional power adapters, aroma, and tubes as you like. You can even get third-party accessories. Sure, you don’t need any of them to enjoy this vaporizer, but they may improve your experience.

Cleaning and maintenance

If there’s one thing that most of us hate, that’s cleaning and maintaining our vaping devices. Luckily, Arizer ArGo doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, and the cleaning is very easy to do.

You don’t need to clean the unit too frequently, but ideally, you should do minimal maintenance a couple of times per week. You don’t need anything special to do this – a regular cotton swab, isopropyl alcohol, and some water will do the job perfectly.

Who should buy Arizer ArGo?

Anyone interested in an easy-to-use vaporizer with extraordinary functionality can look forward to using Arizer ArGo. The same applies to all people who favor vapor quality above everything else.

It’s a bit pricey, that’s for sure, but it’s an investment that will certainly pay off.

Who shouldn’t buy Arizer ArGo?

Arizer ArGo has no serious downsides, but there are cons that you need to be aware of.

First of all, the vaporizer is expensive, and if your budget is limited, this is probably not the product for you.

One technical issue that some people may struggle with is that it takes a while for the device to heat up. If you want your session to start as early as possible, again, this will be a problem.

Lastly, if you want your vaping device to be attractive, that fact alone may also put you off from ArGo.

Pros

  • With Arizer ArGo, you are getting one of the best dry vaporizers on the market
  • The product is very easy to use
  • It provides outstanding vapor
  • It’s very easy to clean and maintain
  • The product fully supports additional accessories

Cons

  • The price is not suitable for everyone
  • The heat-up time may be slow for some people
  • Overall, the vaporizer design is not attractive

In conclusion

So, is Arizer ArGo a worthwhile purchase? Absolutely!

Not only are you getting a functional vaporizer, but you’re getting one of the best vaporizers on the market from a reputable manufacturer.

If the product seems a bit pricey, remember that safety and trust have their price.

Michigan legal weed sales to start: Ann Arbor dispensaries to sell – Detroit Free Press

Years of work to legalize marijuana for adult recreational use will bear fruit on Sunday when the first sales of legal weed take place in Michigan.

Three pot shops in Ann Arbor, already known as a cannabis-friendly city, will be ground zero for the start of recreational marijuana sales.

The three retailers — Exclusive Brands, Arbor Wellness and Greenstone Provisions — have been gearing up as the first businesses licensed by the state to be able to sell legal weed to anyone over the age of 21, beginning sometime after 10 a.m. Sunday.

“We’re not really sure what to expect. It’s an unprecedented event,” said Maggie Smith, manager of Greenstone. “People have been calling to see if they can make reservations.”

For anyone thinking about that, you can’t.

The timing of the first sales remained a bit up in the air. A state employee in Lansing was expected to “flip the switch,” technologically speaking, so that the three shops could begin transferring marijuana products from the medical side of the business to the new recreational market, both in the state’s computer system and within the shop.

That flip was expected to happen at 10 a.m. Then the shops were expected to switch their inventory — but they are allowed to transfer only 50% of the medical products that have been on their shelves for at least 30 days.

That means there wasn’t expected to be an abundance of product available on the first day of sales.

“We do plan to open on Dec. 1 with a limited adult-use inventory,” said James Daly, owner of Arbor Wellness. “We don’t want it to be at the expense of our medical patients.”

While there might not be full shelves, all three stores were expecting long lines of people hoping to mark the milestone by scoring a joint, an edible, or a gram or two of cannabis flower. In Colorado, where legal weed sales began Jan. 1, 2014, 24 shops opened and lines snaked around blocks. An estimated $1 million in sales was made that wintry New Year’s Day.

At Exclusive Brands, the shop’s first sale will just be the start of a new era for the store.

“We’re hoping to have an all-day celebration,” said owner Omar Hishmeh.

Three more retail shops — Lit Provisioning Center in Evart, a small mid-Michigan town between Clare and Cadillac, Skymint in Ann Arbor and Michigan Supply and Provisions in Morenci, just north of the Ohio border — got their state licenses to sell legal weed on Wednesday, but they weren’t expected to be ready to start sales on Sunday.

Rick Thompson, owner of the Michigan Cannabis Business Development Group, said after working for years to get marijuana legalized in Michigan, the first day of sales will be bittersweet.

“It’s certainly a benchmark and a doorway to a new era,” he said. “I just wish it would be more accessible to more Michiganders at the outset.”

The sales come just over a year since Michigan voters approved a ballot measure that legalized marijuana use, possession, growing and sales by a 56%-44% margin. Michigan became the 10th state in the nation to legalize weed for adult recreational use.

The state began accepting applications for recreational marijuana business licenses on Nov. 1 and has since awarded eight licenses and pre-qualified another 73 applications. But more than 1,400 of the state’s 1,771 communities have said they don’t want marijuana businesses in their towns, so finding a city that’s amenable to legal weed has been a challenge for businesses.

Many cities are holding off while local leaders develop ordinances that will govern marijuana businesses and others have said yes to marijuana, but are going through the process of deciding which businesses will be allowed in.

So even though the rollout of legal sales will be slow and limited, the number of businesses is expected to grow in the new year.

“Regardless of the form of the sales, though, legalization should be celebrated,” Thompson said.

Ann Arbor is an appropriate place for pot sales to begin. It was the first city in Michigan to decriminalize marijuana in 1972, when the City Council made possession a civil infraction carrying a small fine.

It’s also the home of the wildly popular annual Hash Bash, a celebration of all things cannabis on the University of Michigan’s Diag.

„It’s great because Ann Arbor was one of the first communities to say cannabis prohibition isn’t working. Ann Arbor has had a leadership role in cannabis law reform since the 1970s,” said state Sen. Jeff Irwin, who helped lead the ballot proposal campaign legalizing marijuana. „Now that the law is changed, it’s great that Ann Arbor gets to a place that’s pioneered.”

Thompson said he planned to make the trek to Ann Arbor on Sunday.

“Every time I think of the legalized market, I have a big smile on my face,” he said. “I won’t let this day go buy without being there, so I’ll be in Ann Arbor on Sunday.”

FDA Maintains Concerns About Risks of CBD Product Use – Psych Congress Network

Gary A. Enos, Editor

A communication from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week about illegal marketing of products containing cannabidiol (CBD) offers a clear indication of the agency’s lingering concerns about the cannabis-derived compound’s safety.

In announcing on Nov. 25 that it issued warning letters to 15 companies that it said are illegally marketing CBD products for therapeutic uses, the FDA stated that much remains unknown about CBD toxicity. As products containing CBD have soared in popularity, addiction treatment programs have had to field an increasing number of questions from patients about CBD’s potential usefulness to alleviate pain, anxiety and other ills common in addiction and recovery.

“We remain concerned that some people wrongly think that the myriad of CBD products on the market, many of which are illegal, have been evaluated by the FDA and determined to be safe, or that trying CBD 'can’t hurt,’” said FDA Principal Deputy Commissioner Amy Abernethy, MD, PhD. “Aside from one prescription drug approved to treat two pediatric epilepsy disorders, these products have not been approved by the FDA and we want to be clear that a number of questions remain regarding CBD’s safety…”

A revised FDA consumer update on CBD outlines several safety-related concerns, including potential drug interactions and effects on the liver and on patient mood. The FDA says it “continues to explore potential pathways for various types of CBD products to be lawfully marketed,” and indicates it will be updating the public on its progress in the coming weeks.

Weekend reads: A turning point for the cannabis industry – MarketWatch

Looking back, it is amazing how quickly people seemed to accept the idea that use of marijuana-derived substances couldn’t have any negative consequences for their health. Now that the Food and Drug Administration warned consumers that cannabidiol (CBD) “has the potential to harm you,” investors are having to rethink the prospects for cannabis companies.

The FDA sent warnings to 15 companies “for illegally selling various products containing cannabidiol.”

Out of personal adversity, a CBD business is born – Summit Daily News

Sisters Montana and Madison Marzario, pictured here, launched Care Division, a CBD product line, with their mother, Sherri, in 2018. Now the family is celebrating the grand opening of Hemp by Tumbleweed, a CBD-only retail store in Edwards.

Montana Marzario was a ski racer with big dreams until she suffered a head injury during a race in her sophomore year in college. She couldn’t find relief from prescription pain medicine, but her life returned to normal when she discovered CBD.

“I had to quit ski racing, which was hard, and medication wasn’t helping. We had a family friend who started a hemp company and he had me try CBD,” Montana said. “I started seeing results, was off my prescription medications. I was able to go back to school — it really just changed everything.”

Female-founded company

All of Care Division’s products use pure CBD isolate that is sourced and processed in Colorado. Care Division products include handcrafted tinctures (liquid CBD that you place under your tongue) and topicals with quick transdermal absorption that you rub onto the skin.

After experiencing such a huge setback from her injury and then finding such relief, Montana, 23, and her sister, Madison, 27, became passionate about sharing the power of CBD with others. They launched Care Division, a CBD product line, with their mother, Sherri, in 2018, and now the family is celebrating the grand opening of Hemp by Tumbleweed, a CBD-only retail store in Edwards, located right next to their Tumbleweed marijuana dispensary.

“We are a female-founded, locally-owned and operated company,” Madison said. “This is our whole life. I used to work in a corporate office, and Montana just graduated from an amazing college with connections to work anywhere. We took a risk to jump into this industry because we believe in it. We’re a family that’s built our health and lifestyle around these products.”

A lesson in CBD

In a market that’s increasingly saturated with CBD products, Hemp by Tumbleweed sought to be something different. Many visitors to Marzario’s Tumbleweed dispensary next door were often looking for an alternative to THC (the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis that makes users feel “high”), while still enjoying the benefits of the cannabis plant.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is derived from the hemp plant and is legal across the U.S. Care Division’s products contain no traces of THC, which means these products won’t make users feel stoned.

“We opened the Hemp by Tumbleweed shop to provide a place for all people in the valley to shop highly vetted products so they don’t have to do intense research on their end,” Montana said.

At Hemp by Tumbleweed, the research has been done for you. Madison said customers can come into the store and spend as much time as they want talking to staff about its CBD and hemp products. Care Division even operates a hotline (855-932-2730) for people to call to learn more about its products and about CBD

The highest quality CBD (that you can also travel home with!)

A lot of the big brand CBD products you see on the shelves at gas stations and convenience stores are coming from Europe or China, these are synthetic (fake) CBD products, Madison said.

“You should always call the lab where your CBD products were tested. They will be able to confirm that the test results are real,” she said.

All of Care Division’s products use pure CBD isolate that is sourced and processed in Colorado. Care Division products include handcrafted tinctures (liquid CBD that you place under your tongue) and topicals with quick transdermal absorption that you rub onto the skin. Other CBD products sold at the shop include beauty products such as body oils and anti-aging products, flavored tinctures (vanilla cupcake sprinkles! Blueberry cheesecake!) and CBD gummies.

“We also require that products from all of our vendors are produced in a licensed facility,” Madison added.

“We came up with formulations that produce different effects,” Madison said. “Our unique formulations are what set us apart.”

Care Division’s Mend tincture, for example, include black cumin seed oil, vitamin E, ginger and CBD. The ingredients work together to combat inflammation and pain, activating in the body within 30 minutes. Many customers use it as a preventative for inflammation before a day on the slopes.

Customers say the Chill tincture helps with anxiety, while the Carefree topical — which includes Sichuan peppercorns that stimulate receptors on the skin for quick absorption and provides pain relief for stiff joints and muscles.

“We’ve had people come in and buy cases of it after their first use,” Montana said.

Stress, anxiety, and depression are very prevalent in today’s youth, specifically among young adults in their early to late 20s. This accounts for a large amount of Oxford’s residents. Hempville CBD—located on Jackson Avenue between U.S. Nails and Great American Cookie—has turned some heads because recent studies have shown CBD oil and other hemp-related products have a positive effect on those suffering from ailments such as anxiety and stress.

Owner of Hempville CBD, Tony Barragan, discussed some of the positives CBD has to offer and why it has been gaining such popularity as of late. He said there are two receptors in our bodies—CB1 and CB2—that react well to CBD, which creates a reaction that causes homeostasis in our bodies, which creates relief.

“Whether it’s working with inflammation, pain or anxiety, it’s all about how it balances out our endocannabinoid system. It helps certain receptors in our body react which causes balance,” he said.

According to an article from Harvard Medical School, CBD creates a relaxing, calming effect that does not make the user “high” and “has no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential.”

Barragan is a proud supporter of CBD and its positive effects on stress, anxiety, pain. So much so that he even gave up his previous business venture as the owner of Bim Bam Burgers to start Hempville. He said he personally knows a father and son who are reaping the healing benefits of CBD. The father was diagnosed with crippling arthritis at the age of 8 and had hip replacements at the age of 16.

“He took his money to get his prescription filled in Little Rock and bought CBD and he stopped taking opiates,” Barragan said.

Recently, the father’s 8-year-old son was behavioral issues at school. He had just transferred from Little Rock to Batesville when the father started giving him doses of CBD.

“It calmed him down. He didn’t want to go to school without a dose of CBD,” Barragan said.

The testimonials continue. Hempville’s Facebook page is littered with comments from people who claim CBD has had a positive impact with their pain management. Hempville even sells CBD in “treat form” for pets that suffer from seizures or separation anxiety.

The Hempville store isn’t very big but contains a vast array of products that best fit any customer’s CBD needs. The layout might remind customers of a dispensary or smaller head shop, but with completely legal products.

Barragan said he likes to take an educational approach with his customers and is willing to discuss each person’s best option for ingestion.

“Sublingual oil is the most popular way. You put a certain number of drops under your tongue and hold it there for 60 seconds,” he said. “We have a gland under our tongue that does well with absorbing. It works its way into the bloodstream and nervous system, and it takes its course.”

Barragan said the oil can often be more effective than vaping, another popular method of CBD ingestion. Options include vape oils, Juul compatible pods, and turpen (turpentine) which is 99% pure CBD.

“This is put in a mechanism, like a pen. That’s one of the most instantaneous ways to take CBD. Whether it’s for a panic attack or anxiety attack, migraines, chronic pain, you will feel it instantly,” he said.
