Law360 (December 2, 2019, 5:03 PM EST) — A CBD company was hit with a new type of suit in California federal court by consumers who say that its food and topical cream products are unapproved new drugs sold in violation of federal law.
Adam DaSilva said in a proposed class action that Infinite Product Co.’s CBD products are misleadingly labeled and are illegal to sell. In his Nov. 27 complaint, DaSilva pointed to a recent warning letter sent by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to Infinite Product detailing numerous violations regarding its products, which include skin creams and gummies.
