56% of THC-related vaping illnesses linked to 1 brand – Becker’s Hospital Review

The CDC identified Dank Vapes as the brand of vaping products most commonly linked to lung illnesses, reports CNBC.

While patients reported using 152 different brands of vaping products containing THC, Dank Vapes was the most commonly cited brand. Still, the CDC said it’s unlikely that one brand is responsible for all of the lung illnesses.

As of Dec. 3, the CDC has reported 2,291 lung illnesses nationwide, along with 48 deaths. Of 1,782 patients with complete medical information, 80 percent reported using vaping products with THC. Of these patients, 56 percent used products from Dank Vapes, followed by TKO (15 percent), Smart Cart (13 percent) and Rove (12 percent).
