Massachusetts retailers can resell pot vaporization products

Massachusetts marijuana retailers can start selling vaping products again, as long as they are recently manufactured and pollutants analyzed. The Cannabis Control Commission made the announcement Thursday. It is not immediately clear when the products will be available for purchase. The order allows the sale of vaporizer products that are manufactured from Thursday and that pass the screens to detect contaminants, including vitamin E acetate, which are required under the commission’s test protocols. The initial quarantine of the commission remains in effect for all other marijuana vaporizer products manufactured before December 12. The order comes one day after state officials put an end to the emergency ban on the sale of tasteless vaping products and approve new restrictions on flavored vaporizer products. The Public Health Council vote temporarily rescinded the ban on the sale of all vaping products imposed by the administration of Republican Governor Charlie Baker in September. State officials say they have identified 90 probable and confirmed cases of lung diseases related to vaping in Massachusetts. Three of those people have died.
