Christmas gift guide: 9 ideas for your Cannabis enthusiast – Desert Sun

Looking to gift a little something special to the cannabis consumer in your life this holiday season?

Here’s a round-up of cannabis products — some fun, some functional, some utterly indulgent — that would make any cannabis consumer grin. We’ve also included CBD products for those who doesn’t want to get high but could still benefit from some rest and relaxation to wind down the year.

Lagunitas Hi-Fi Hops

Consider toasting to the new year with cannabis instead of alcohol! At the intersection of beer and THC you’ll find Lagunitas Hi-Fi Hops. It’s technically a sparkling water infused with THC and CBD but it carries the flavor of hops for a beer-like experience. Cannabis beverages, or “drinkables” are an increasingly popular delivery method, as they spare the lungs from smoke. Available in California and Colorado only — find out if it’s at your favorite dispensary here.

CBD massages in the Coachella Valley

If you want to treat someone to a day of rest and relaxation this holiday season, look into booking them a CBD massage. To really amp up the luxury, send them to one of the top-notch resorts in the desert for the full experience: we like the sound of the “CBD Herbal Relief Massage” from the JW Marriot Desert Springs Resort & Spa, or the “CBD Healing Recovery Massage” from The Ritz-Carlton in Rancho Mirage.

Malin + Goetz cannabis scented products

Is there any odor that’s as divisive as cannabis? On one hand, you have city council meetings full of people concerned about the scent of cannabis wafting through their neighborhoods. On the other, you have Malin+Goetz Cannabis Eau de Parfum.

At $95 for a 1.7 ounce bottle, the price point is up there with other luxury scents you’ll find on the Nordstrom fragrance counter. But how many others will evoke the “once defiantly naughty, now inescapably chic” scent of cannabis? There’s also an oil-based perfume at $52 a vial.

Canndescent Cheer

Want to treat a discerning cannabisseur? Canndescent, a premium brand of cannabis grown in an indoor cultivation facility in Desert Hot Springs, has launched a limited edition “Cheer” flower for the holiday. This sativa-leaning hybrid has notes of berry and vanilla, and is meant to be a relaxing, euphoric high. Chances are, they’ll be so pleased with this gift they’ll be happy to share.

It’s the first time the company has branched out from its five standard “effects,” which also come in mood-oriented strains like “Calm” and “Charge.” It comes in 1-gram pre-rolls, six packs of half-gram pre-rolls, and one gram jars while supplies last — see if Canndescent is available at your favorite dispensary.

ResÖlution Colorado glass cleaner

For the bong ripper in your life, give the gift of smoother hits and fewer germs. ResÖlution Colorado bong and pipe cleaner is a clay-based, non-toxic formula that can remove stains, resin, and tar from bongs, and pipes. For $30, you can buy a kit that includes caps to seal the piece while cleaning, a pouch of gel, a brush, and cotton swabs.

Kikoko teas

What’s better than cozying up with a warm cup of tea? Try cozying up with cannabis tea. Kikoko is a women-owned cannabis business that makes products with women’s wellness in mind. They make a variety of teas that carry low to moderate doses of THC for people who don’t want to get “over-the-top high,” but still enjoy the relaxation of cannabis. You can get a four-pack of teas in a stylish tin for $24, or a canister of 10 teabags for $48.

Cannabolish

For times when you don’t want the smell of cannabis lingering around, there are products like Cannabolish. Their sprays and candles are designed to eliminate the smell of cannabis without any heavy fragrance or chemicals — it includes a proprietary blend of plant oils including wintergreen that might give off a small minty smell, but is mostly fragrance free. They also claim to be effective for eliminating the smell of cigarette smoke. With prices starting at $4.99 for a 2 oz. spray, it’s a thoughtful little stocking stuffer or add-on to a cannabis-themed gift.

Novelty grinders

OK, we’ll admit these are a little silly, but they are also the perfect size for a stocking stuffer or hilarious White Elephant gift. And hey, they’re also practical.

For the cannabis consumer in your life who is also a fan of of Star Wars, check out this Death Star herb grinder from Amazon. They also come in other franchises like Deadpool, Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon. Gotta catch ’em all!

CBD Cool Stick

Whether you’re an athlete or just someone looking for fewer aches and pains in your life, a little CBD can go a long way toward muscle relief. One popular option there is Wildflower’s CBD Cool Stick, which comes in a 1 oz. version for $24.99 or a 2.5 oz. version for $59.99. With full-spectrum CBD oil derived from California-grown hemp, Wildflower rounds out the product with natural, organic ingredients like coconut oil, beeswax and peppermint essential oils.
