CHICAGO (CBS) — Recreational marijuana sales begin on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.
Here is some information about where they will take place.
There are a total of 46 locations in Illinois – including 11 that were just added.
Ten of the locations are in the city of Chicago, and 20 are in the greater Chicago area – ranging from nearby suburbs like Evanston and Oak Park to outlying places like Joliet and Ottawa.
The remaining 16 locations are downstate.
