Lake Superior State University is claiming a nationwide first.
The school says it is opening its Cannabis Center of Excellence for the first cannabis chemistry program in the U.S.
The center is a facility aimed at education and research of the cannabis industry.
It will train undergraduates as job-ready chemists
LSSU will hold a ribbon cutting Friday for the new facility.
