The CBD craze has taken the world by storm, and there’s no sign of it slowing down anytime soon. From CBD creams for pain to CBD toothpastes, companies from the beauty industry are competing to make the best beauty products out there, and Avon is no exception.
Since 1886, Avon has been providing women with top-quality products while keeping up with the trends. However, the CBD trend may cost them their popularity and profit.
The company has been buying CBD for its products from Limitless CBD, and so far, there haven’t been any reports of severe side effects or illnesses caused by any product containing Limitless CBD extracts.
Still, the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) has issued a public health alert for all products that contain CBD from said company as they were made without a state license and outside of their control.
Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture advises anyone who has any Limitless CBD product to throw them away.
Will Norman, general counsel for Limitless CBD, says that the company doesn’t have a storefront. They sell the products in convenience stores, gas stations, and on the internet. They also buy CBD products from other companies and re-sell them.
Norman claims that this is just a misunderstanding and that Limitless CBD has applied for the license and is very close to obtaining it.
Nevertheless, an ODA inspector has visited the company’s manufacturing facility and banned the sale of their final products.
This is the first time the ODA has done something like this, as companies usually recall their products themselves, but Limitless CBD refused to recall the products voluntarily.
It remains to be seen whether Limitless CBD will get the license and how this incident will affect Avon and its sales.
