Gift guide: Splurge on these 8 expensive gifts for the holiday season – Weedmaps News

If you’re rich and feeling gifty, then you’ve come to the right holiday gift guide. Oftentimes, we look for budget ways to gift our favorite stoners, but this year, you might be feeling a little bit more spendy with the holiday cheer than usual.

If that’s the case, skip over the low-cost items and show your love by absolutely breaking the bank on your friends and family who love smoking weed.

Here are eight cannabis items that cost over a Benjamin, that any weed enthusiasts would absolutely cherish this holiday season.

The Terpometer

Anyone who dabs will tell you that getting the temperature right is the most important part of the experience. Luckily, there are plenty of devices out there that help people do just that. The Terpometer is one of them.

The Terpometer is a thermometer that you place into your quartz banger after torching it to death. As the temperature drops from “Hell” to “Have A Dab,” the digital screen turns green to indicate you’ve reached an optimal smoking temperature.

Bonus: It also doubles as a dabbing tool, with the dabber that sits opposite of the temperature gauge. If you know someone that still uses their hand and phone timer to guess when it’s time to dab, buy them this instead.

Price: $120 on The Terpometer’s website

Utillian 722

Utillian

The Utillian 722 is a portable dry herb and oil vaporizer that would be an excellent gift for anyone that loves weed. It has four different temperature settings reflected by color: green (180°C); blue (190°C); purple (200°C); and red (210°C), so people can truly dial in the amount of flavor and/or vapor they want.

Additionally, for the impatient smoker, the Utillian 722 has a “Boost Mode” that instantly heats the device to its top temperature — which is perfect for when you need a quick pick-me-up immediately before walking into a store, restaurant, theater, etc.

Banana Bros Otto Gold

Banana Bros

Banana Bros put out the Otto automated joint roller a couple years back, and it’s still one of the most fun and laziest devices that you can buy for someone. Basically, you put weed in the electric grinder, sit it on top of a tube that has a pre-rolled cone inside, then push a button and watch the weed fall into the joint. It’s silly and anyone that gets one will love it.

The base Otto model hits for $149.99, but since this gift guide is about splurging, go ahead and buy the Gold model for a light two bills.

MOTA Glass Sugar Skull Beaker Bong

MOTA Glass

If you’d like to put your gifting dollars towards social equity this year, then buying someone a bong from MOTA Glass might be the answer. MOTA is the spanish word for weed, and MOTA Glass is a Latinx and veteran-owned glass brand out of Los Angeles.

They recently hit the market in November 2020, and currently produce five different beaker bongs that you can cop for $200 or less. Their 18” Sugar Skull Black Accent Beaker Bong is definitely the coolest.

Price: $200 on MOTA’s website

The Dab Rite

The Dab Rite is another thermometer that allows you to dial in the preferred temperature of your dabs. Sit your banger right above the device’s silicone sensor, and as it reaches the optimal dab temperature, the LED guide light will turn green and the device will beep repeatedly.

The silicone sensor comes in a variety of colors including: black, red, green, yellow, and a purple/green combo.

Price: $249.99 on Dab Rite’s website

Dr. Dabber SWITCH

Dr. Dabber

The Dr. Dabber SWITCH is so damn expensive, but goddamn if it isn’t worth it. Essentially, it’s an electronic vaporizer that works for both flower and extracts. Its next level aesthetics give it a James Bond smoking device look, and its functionality allows for 25 different heating settings (five ranges of five different temperature colors) at the touch of a single button, so you can truly customize your choice of flavor versus vapor down to the finest details.

The Dr. Dabber SWITCH is also lauded for its amazing battery life, giving you a week of use off just one single charge. Of course, that’s dependent on how frequently you tap that power button.

Price: $399.95 on Dr. Dabber’s website

Puffco Peak Pro

Puffco

Puffco Peaks are amazing and everyone wants one. If you’re thinking “Damn, I wish I had someone to buy that,” I’m very much available.

The Puffco Peak is an electronic vaporizer that makes dabbing concentrates really simple. It’s great for people who are just getting into dabs but are intimidated by the torches and bangers. Recently they dropped their Puffco Peak Pro, which takes the experience to new heights (pun intended), by allowing for digital temperature control through the Puffco Path Browser app. You can also choose LED colors and save personalized settings.

Price: $399.99 on Puffco’s website

NugSmasher Mini

NugSmasher

The NugSmasher Mini is a personal rosin press that allows people to make their own dabs at home. And they’ll be solventless!

The NugShamer Mini press takes your flower and applies pressure and heat to it, leaving behind all those good plant oils. Usually it costs $582, but right now, you can get it for the bargain price of a measly $446.

Price: $446 on NugSmasher’s website

Honorable mention: Mothership or Evol Empire Dab Rigs

Mothership Glass

In the final installment of this list, we have some heady glass that you would probably never buy for another person — unless you’re James Harden on Lil Baby’s birthday. Mothership Glass and Evol Empire Glass are art pieces that you can smoke out of, not just regular dab rigs.

They’ll hit your pockets for prices that can range up to almost $10,000, but the experience is, dare I say, worth it. I’ve smoked an Evol many times with my friend The Avid Dabber and each time, it’s the smoothest, most flavorful, easiest to consume dab that I will ever inhale.

If you win the lottery, buy yourself one immediately.
