HERKIMER COUNTY – A Hudson man had about 400 pounds of THC/marijuana edibles in his car during a Wednesday traffic stop on the Thruway in the Herkimer County town of Schuyler, state police said.

Troopers stopped the car driven by Lindsay L. Miranda, 21, of Hudson, just before 1 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic violation in the Town of Schuyler, state police said. Schuyler is about 30 miles west of Fort Plain.

Inside the vehicle, troopers found the edibles, as well as an additional two pounds of marijuana and about $8,000 in cash.

Troopers charged Miranda with one count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. He was arraigned and released to return to court later.
