THOMASTON — The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a hearing Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the fourth floor of Town Hall regarding a temporary moratorium on cannabis establishments.
A bill pending before the legislature would legalize the recreational use of cannabis as of Jan. 1, 2022. Currently, such cannabis operations are not addressed in the town’s zoning regulations.
The moratorium is intended to give the commission time to amend its regulations so recreational cannabis operations are addressed in the regulations.
