A woman involved in a robbery where a male was pistol-whipped has been arrested, according to Laredo police.

Virginia Nicole Campos, 19, was served with arrest warrants charging her with aggravated robbery and engage in organized criminal activity.

In February, police arrested the first two suspects. Luis Angel Daniel Carranza, 23, and his girlfriend Kassandra Torres, 19, are facing the same charges as Campos.

The case unfolded at about 11:19 p.m. Feb. 17 in the 2300 block of Laredo Street. Officers responded to a disturbance. Police encountered a man who was bleeding from the right side of his head and had scratches on his hands. He stated he needed medical attention because he felt he was about to pass out.

He stated his friends — Campos, Carranza and Torres — invited him to a party at Carranza’s residence. Carranza picked him up in his white Chrysler vehicle. Torres was in the front passenger seat while Campos was in the back seat with the complainant. Carranza then pulled over and tried to take out the complainant by force, states the arrest affidavit.

Carranza accused the complainant of stealing two Chocolate Mushroom Bars worth $60 each. Torres allegedly unlocked the door for Carranza. Campos then pushed the complainant out of the vehicle, where Carranza and Torres started kicking him, states the arrest affidavit.

Carranza then told Torres to take out a gun. Carranza and Torres allegedly took turns in striking the complainant with the gun in the head, according to court documents.

Carranza then took the complainant’s gray Motorola Moto G Power with pink cover worth $120 and his Pablo Bar nicotine vaporizer worth $30, states the affidavit. An aqua 9mm Taurus G2S was seized in relation to the case.
