Wyld Launches New Cannabis Edibles Brand Good Tide – Forbes

Oregon-based multistate cannabis company Wyld debuted a new brand of marijuana edibles this week, taking advantage of the popular Hall of Flowers cannabis industry trade show in California as the backdrop for the launch of the new line. The new brand, Good Tide, features cannabis gummies in an assortment of flavors, with availability in three legal cannabis markets in the western U.S.

Wyld’s Good Tide gummies are made with real fruit and premium solventless hash rosin, a cannabis concentrate produced without the use of harsh chemical solvents. The company says that the process ensures that “the rosin includes naturally occurring terpenes and minor cannabinoids from the cannabis plant which harmonize with the tropical real-fruit ingredients to create a delicious, full-spectrum experience” that “delivers a true-to-plant high.” Good Tide gummies contain 10 mg of THC each are available in three vegan flavors including mango, guava and pineapple.

Wyld is a cannabis edibles company based in the Pacific Northwest that embodies the progressive environmental mindset the region is known for. The company was founded in 2016, adding Wyld CBD in 2019, with the brand’s annual revenue reaching over $100 million in 2021. Wyld’s sales have already reached $206 million so far this year, making the company the number one cannabis edibles brand in the United States, according to market data from cannabis analytics firm Headset.

“Wyld is proud to welcome Good Tide to our portfolio. Not only does Good Tide perfectly complement Wyld’s current offerings, it meets our sustainability initiatives,” Wyld CEO Aaron Morris said in a statement from the company. “This brand is Climate Neutral Certified, produced with a carbon neutral footprint, 100% renewable energies, and comes with a customized plastic-free, fully recyclable and compostable packaging.”

Achieving Sustainability In Cannabis

Wyld has set sustainability goals to reduce its impact on the environment, and the new Good Tide brand continues that tradition. The company says it is the first cannabis family of brands to be Climate Neutral Certified and is committed to creating a more sustainable future. Wyld has reached its goal of 100% carbon neutrality by measuring, reducing and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the company’s overall operations by way of renewable energy certificates purchased from the Wheat Field Wind Farm in Oregon through Bonneville Environmental Foundation and carbon credits purchased from South Pole.

“By no means are we close to our goal of becoming eco-champions,” the company wrote on its website. “But we are taking steps in the right direction and will be encouraging and challenging other businesses to follow our lead by offsetting their emissions, purchasing renewable energy and identifying areas within their production and packaging they can improve. Additionally, we are aware of our plastic problem, and have been working on a solution for over a year now.”

Morris, who started Wyld after experimenting with cannabis edible recipes in the kitchen of an old farmhouse in Tumalo, Oregon, said the company plans to continue its work on sustainability and carbon neutrality as the it continues to grow.

“We are excited for this solventless addition and to keep pushing our internal sustainability standards to new levels,” said Morris. “I can’t wait to share with you all our efforts rolling out in 2023!”

Good Tide edibles will be available from select licensed cannabis dispensaries in California, Colorado and Oregon in fall 2022.
