Hoover police identify man wanted in CBD theft – AL.com

A man has been identified as the person police are searching for in a Hoover store’s CBD theft case.

Derrick Montez Cistrunk is wanted for third-degree theft of property after Hoover police said he stole a large box of CBD product. The incident happened May 31 at Gallery Smoke on Lorna Road, when police said 23-year-old Cistrunk entered the store and told an employee he was interested in buying a large amount of Myrtle Creek Hemp Flower.

After the employee put the box on the counter, police said Cistrunk grabbed the box and ran. He then fled the parking lot in a dark-colored sedan.

Hoover police identified Cistrunk on its social media pages Friday morning. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers.
